Privacy Policy
Suit Spell is private by design. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server that knows what you played. This page says exactly what that means.
Your plays stay on your device
The words you spell, your scores, your streak, and your stats live in a database on your phone. Nothing you type is sent anywhere. We cannot see your plays and there is no account they could be attached to.
What the app downloads
The app fetches the day's deal (seven cards and the day's top score) from our server, and the help and purchase text so we can fix a typo without a new app release. When you finish a deal, the app looks up the definition of your word on Wiktionary. These requests carry no information about you beyond the ordinary network details any website sees.
Anonymous usage statistics
To understand which features are used, the app sends us anonymous usage counts, for example how many deals were played or how often the share button was tapped. These counts are tied to a random anonymous ID generated on your device, never to you: no name, no email, and never the words you play. We also record the approximate city, state, and country the request came from; your IP address is not stored. None of this can identify you and none of it is shared with or sold to anyone.
Notifications
If you turn on the optional daily reminder, it is scheduled entirely on your device. No data leaves your phone to make it work.
Purchases
Suit Spell Pro is a one-time purchase processed by the App Store or Google Play. Purchase and receipt data is handled by Apple or Google and our purchases provider, RevenueCat, to confirm your purchase. It is not linked to any personal profile because Suit Spell has no accounts.
Backups
Your history is included in your phone's normal backup (iCloud on iPhone, Google's backup on Android), under their privacy terms. The optional Back up my history feature writes a file you choose where to keep; we never receive it.
Children's privacy
Suit Spell does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app collects no personal data from anyone; the anonymous usage counts above cannot identify any user of any age.
Cookies
This website uses minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to understand traffic. It does not use advertising or tracking cookies. If you play on this site, your plays are kept in your browser's local storage only.
Affiliate links
Some guides on this website link to products on Amazon. Suit Spell is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and earns from qualifying purchases made through those links. This never changes the price you pay, and Amazon does not share your personal information with us.
Your rights
Because your plays live only on your device, you control them directly: delete the app and they are gone. The anonymous usage counts we hold cannot be connected to you, but if you have any privacy question or request, email us and we will help.
Data storage location
Your plays stay on your device. Anonymous usage statistics are stored on Cloudflare infrastructure in the United States. This website is hosted on Vercel and Cloudflare infrastructure in the United States.
